# Add a feedback widget to a Tilda site

> Paste the widget script into the site-wide code fields in Tilda's site settings, or into an HTML block on a single page, then publish. Set data-locale to pt-BR or en when a page targets one language, and test on the live site.

## Should you use an HTML block or site-wide code in Tilda?

Tilda gives you two good routes. Site-wide code in the site settings loads the widget on every published page, so you add it once and forget it. An HTML block adds the script to one page only, which suits a landing page or a single campaign page. Choose site-wide code for the whole site, and use an HTML block when you want the widget on a page and nowhere else.

Whichever you pick, paste the script once per page. Two copies on the same page create two floating buttons, and visitors see both.

## How do you add the widget to every page?

Open the site settings and find the fields for custom code. Tilda keeps head and body code in its settings, and the labels can change, so look for the area that lets you add code to the head section or before the closing body tag.

1. Open the site settings and go to the custom code fields.
2. Paste the script tag into the body-end field, which keeps the page render first:

```html
<script src="https://escutaproduto.com/widget.js" data-key="pk_your_product_key" defer></script>
```

3. Save the settings.
4. Publish the site. Tilda changes reach visitors only after you publish the pages again.

The script is about 5 KB compressed with no dependencies. It renders inside a Shadow DOM, so your Tilda styles do not change the button, and you can set data-color to any CSS color to match your palette.

## How do you add the widget to one page?

For a single page, add an HTML block to the page and paste the script inside it. Keep the block at the bottom of the page, since the script itself adds the floating button and does not need a visible position in the layout.

```html
<script src="https://escutaproduto.com/widget.js" data-key="pk_your_product_key" defer></script>
```

Do not add the same script to both the site settings and a page block. The second copy is the duplicate that shows two buttons. If you move the widget from one page to the whole site later, remove the block first.

## How do Portuguese and English visitors see the right language?

The form follows the visitor's browser language by default, so a Brazilian visitor with Portuguese set in the browser sees Portuguese. That works for a bilingual site. If a page is written only in Portuguese, or only in English, set the language on that page so the form matches the content.

Use data-locale on the script tag:

```html
<script src="https://escutaproduto.com/widget.js" data-key="pk_your_product_key" data-locale="pt-BR" defer></script>
```

Use pt-BR for Portuguese and en for English. Put the tag with data-locale in that page's own HTML block, and keep the site-wide tag without it on the rest of the site. A page-level tag and a site-wide tag would be two copies on one page, so remove the site-wide version from any page where you set a locale.

The hosted feedback page has its own language option. Add ?lang=pt or ?lang=en to the address when you link to it from a Portuguese or English page.

## How do you test a Tilda site after publishing?

Test from a private window, because the editor does not always show code the way visitors see it.

1. Open the live page and confirm one Feedback button appears in the corner.
2. Open the form and check the language. Then switch your browser language and reload to confirm the default behaves as you expect.
3. Send a test message that starts with "test from Tilda", so you can find it in the inbox.
4. Open the item and check the page URL, which should match the page you tested.
5. Check the layout on a phone, where the floating button should not cover a Tilda button or a form's submit control.

## Why does the Tilda widget not appear?

- You may have changed the settings without publishing the pages again.
- A duplicate script can produce two buttons, or a block on a hidden page can hide the one you expected. Search the page code for the script tag to find extra copies.
- The site may use a theme or block that stops custom code from running. The browser console names any blocked script.
- A submission rejected with a 403 response means your site address is not in allowed origins. Tilda sites often answer on both the bare domain and the www address, so list both.

## How Tilda feedback arrives in Escuta Produto

Create one product for the Tilda site, so every message from its pages sits in the same inbox. Filter by language if you need to separate Portuguese and English feedback, or use the type and status filters to focus on bugs and planned work. The saved page URL tells you which landing page or article a message came from, so you can fix the right page.

Write private internal notes when you decide something. If you reply to a visitor, do it from your own email, because Escuta Produto does not send messages to customers.

## Frequently asked questions

### Where do I put the feedback widget script in Tilda?

For the whole site, paste it into the site-wide custom code fields in the site settings and publish. For a single page, add an HTML block to that page and paste the script inside it. Use one method per page to avoid two buttons.

### How do I show the feedback form in Portuguese on a Tilda site?

Add data-locale with the value pt-BR to the script tag on the Portuguese pages. Visitors whose browser language is set to Portuguese already see it by default, so the attribute matters most on pages written only in Portuguese.

### Why do I see two feedback buttons on my Tilda page?

The script is probably loaded twice, once from the site settings and once from an HTML block. Keep only one copy on each page, search the page code for the script tag, remove the extra one, and publish again.

### Do I need to publish a Tilda page after adding the widget?

Yes. Changes to site code and blocks reach visitors only after you publish the pages again. Test the live page in a private window once it is published, not in the editor.
